The Orinocco

I was asked to create two sets of artworks for The Orinoco Condominiums, formerly the Sheet Metal Workers Factory. I created five layered acrylic screenprint collages on wood panels and five on paper. The pieces explore both the history and present day North Old Town. The works use a combination of original photography and historic artifacts. These pieces appear on five floors and share a familiar composition, but each convey their own unique set of iconic landmarks, symbols, architecture and texture.
